The French Guiana Film Commission (BAT)

The French Guiana Film Commission (BAT) was established in May 2013 pursuant to the Regional Scheme of cultural development (SRDC) voted in 2012. The principal mission of BAT is to accommodate shoots on the territory and also to link local resources with the bearers of projects with the objective of promoting the territory. In addition, by bringing together all the useful information in one single location, the BAT will become a crucial address for preparing shoots (short films, full-length films, TV films, advertising films, documentary films, etc.), all the more so since these services are and will remain free for professionals who film in French Guiana.

BAT offers free assistance relating to various types of services:

· Information on the sites for shoots and pre-locations
· Information on crew, actors and extras (assistance for casting…)
· Information on the local funding (production companies, equipment rental, etc.)
· Administrative procedures, assistance with the authorizations · Logistics and information (vehicle rental, accommodation, etc.)
· A production office (according to the availability of the rooms at the Région Guyane offices)

We will be happy to accommodate you, and to quote the President of the "Région Guyane", Rodolphe ALEXANDRE: “French Guiana is an exceptional territory for both the small and the large screen. The diversity of the landscapes, the patrimonial richness of the territory and our regional policy of cinematographic and audio-visual development offer to the professionals an ideal framework to stimulate their creativity and to put in images the most beautiful stories”.

And I would add: “To realize their dreams, because the cinema is also dream!”.
