At the cutting edge of technology and innovation, France boasts some of the industry’s greatest talents and internationally recognized production companies. Eligible for the Tax Rebate for international Productions, narrative VR works developed by French XR studios are already making their mark in the field.

Finance your XR project in France
Production companies have two options for public funding:
- The 30% Tax Rebate for International Productions, paid to the French company acting as a production service company.
- The Support Fund for Immersive Creation, open to co-productions, is intended for authors and producers (associations or companies), and can intervene in all phases of a project’s realization in accordance with these three aid modalities:
- Aid for the writing (reserved for authors)
- Aid for the development (reserved for the producers)
- Aid for the production (reserved for the producers)

Every April, the Film France-CNC team attends the NewImages Festival in Paris, a not-to-be-missed event for XR professionals.
Opening its doors to the XR sector with its Cannes XR space, since 2019 the Cannes Film Festival has welcomed XR creation (conferences, panels, demos, networking events) within the Cannes Film Market. Film France-CNC attends the event every year, and has its own booth at the Market.
