For almost 35 years, BUF has played a pioneering role in the creation of visual effects and has put its expertise to work on more than 100 films and 850 commercials. BUF has built its reputation on creating extraordinary images and unique worlds, bringing to life the imaginations of directors and artists. BUF is best known for the ‘bullet time effect’ in Matrix, originally developed for Michel Gondry’s videos, and for the ‘camera mapping’ technique that enabled David Fincher to revolutionise cinematography in Fight Club.
BUF employs 200 people, including graphic designers and developers who work in our studios in Paris and Montreal.
