Behind the Scenes of “The Substance” by Coralie Fargeat

Winner of the Best Screenplay award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, The Substance, an American-British production directed by filmmaker Coralie Fargeat, was entirely shot in France, both in a studio in the Paris Region and on location on the Côte d’Azur. Executive producer Nicolas Royer (A Good Story – Voulez-vous Production Services) reflects on the story and the making of the film, which involved recreating Los Angeles in the Alpes-Maritimes.

Illumination’s Minions appeared during the Paris Olympics opening ceremony!

The Minions from the “Despicable Me” franchise and its spinoff movie “Minions” made a surprise appearance during the opening ceremony of the Paris Games. They were featured in a humorous scene involving a submarine submerged in the Seine, celebrating Olympic sports. This moment was a nod to their connection with Illumination Studios Paris, the French studio which works for Universal and is behind the famous franchise!

“Dead Cells’’: animated adaptation of the game hits the small screen

Widely praised on PCs and video-game consoles for seven years, “Dead Cells’’ is now available on the small screen as an animated series for the ADN platform. This adaptation results from the collaboration of two French studios: the independent developer Motion Twin and the animation studio Bobbypills.
